Propaganda



Have you heard about “Propaganda”? I guess it is unfamiliar for high school students. It is a kind of political word. Dictionary defines propaganda as information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc. It means propaganda is manipulation of public opinion that spread deliberately for take some advantages. It is not good way to communicate with people, but it is anywhere around us and it breaks some trust between people.
We can easily find the propaganda around us. Election shows a lot of propaganda. People who are running for election have to persuade others to vote for them, so they bring some interesting promises for people. Their promises are all wanted things such as regulation of price or decrease of tax. Therefore, people vote for them. After they are elected, they just do not care about the promises that they did with people. That promises are propaganda. They just take advantage from people and did not keep their promises.Voters have to identify the people who promise with them truly for vote for right person, so politics can be more truthful.People are confuse between advertise and propaganda.
